What people are saying about Los Gu'achis and this website:
"Wow! I had no idea this band even existed. My grandfather Lester Vavages was the original violinist who played with Gu-Achi Fiddlers. I am definitely going to have to let my grandmother know about this band and that you all actually take the name from the original name. She is the widow of my grandfather. I look forward to hearing more of your bands music and look forward to spreading the word to the rest of the Vavages family. I too have recently taken up playing the violin in remembrance of my grandfather." -- Valentina V.

"Los Gu'achis entertained the crowd at the opening of Riverfront Art Gallery's Fall Show last Saturday evening (Nov. 9, 2013) in historic Petaluma, California. Los Gu'achis, a very talented quartet, played a variety of lively early Southwestern music throughout the evening. The group takes their name and style from musical threads found in the Papago Indian culture of early Arizona and subsequently modified by nineteenth century immigrant influences. It is a rich sound blending violin, guitar, accordion and bass. This is a local group that is well worth experiencing if you get the opportunity. Watch for their name at events and locations in the area or visit their website for more information and a list of upcoming performances." -- Cristalen, fine arts photographer

"Not bad for a bunch of gringos." -- David Beatriz, owner of Mi Pueblo Mexican restaurants in Sonoma and Marin counties, California.
